Ground rules

By guy75

In the way of all good self/group help, “My name is Guy, and I have prostate cancer”. I was diagnosed less than 3 weeks ago at the age of 43 although things have building towards this for at least a couple of months. This is my attempt to keep track of what’s going on in my life and to help with those situations where I can’t remember who I have told what to and when.

The ground rules: no personal names for people involved, and only 5 minutes a day writing. God knows I have too much else going on to spend more than that. Given we are already well in to the diagnostic/treatment discussions, there is a big backlog to catch-up on – but that at least will give me something to write about for the next week at least.

Its Saturday morning and I am still in my dressing gown, while M(partner) is out on a job, P(son) is next door listening to music and playing on the DS (a multi-tasking boy) while D(son) and J(daughter) are still upstairs in bed. Anyway the five minute bell is ringing so I have to stop ….

Must add a “no editing” rule – I am never going to keep this up to date if I am going back and editing what’s gone up.

With the mechanics of the blog set hopefully there won’t be the need to go back and re-edit and I haven’t got the time – a common theme I think!
